Facilitated by Patrick Gibbons
Research has shown that gratitude has a positive effect on how we approach the end of life. It has also shown that gratitude has a positive effect on how we live in the present moment. This presentation and discussion will focus on some of these findings. We will explore the nature of gratitude, provide examples from patient testimonies about its importance, and provide recommendations for cultivating and nourishing gratitude in one’s life.
Pat Gibbons has been a Spiritual Care Coordinator for Hospice of the Western Reserve for 14 years. He has presented workshops on spiritual issues at the end of life on local, regional and national levels.
