What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction can be defined as a soul journey with another into a new realm of spiritual relationships and an opening into a new world of spiritual wonder shared with another. The art of spiritual direction focuses an ongoing spiritual journey fostering inner growth and allowing persons to recognize God at the center of their lives. The journey is always personal and individual. In the process one person dialogues with another who is schooled in theology and spirituality. Sharing one’s story with a caring and qualified other provides insights and encouragement for those who choose to enrich their spiritual life.

Spiritual Companioning is the same sharing done with one who does not have the formal education, but is deeply schooled in spiritual living, has a dynamic personal faith experience and is trusted as companion and guide.

People from every walk of life look for spiritual guidance to help them become aware of and respond to God. Recognizing this expressed need Centering Space Core Circle members and other associates experienced in spiritual direction and spiritual companioning, are available by appointment.
