Both Receiving and Sharing

There are places we go to learn something. There are places we go to serve. There are places we go to work. And then, every once in a while, there are places that quietly allow us to do all of those things at once.

For me, Centering Space is one of those places.

Over the years, I have walked through its doors for many different reasons. Sometimes I have come as a participant, curious about a new program or discussion. Sometimes I have come seeking a few moments of quiet reflection. Occasionally, I have used the space for a meeting, hoping to bring some of the peace that lives within those walls into my professional world.

What strikes me most is that I have never felt the need to arrive as a particular version of myself.
I can come with questions.
I can come with ideas.
I can come carrying worries.
I can come carrying gratitude.
And somehow there is room for all of it.

Life often encourages us to choose a role. We are the teacher or the student. The giver or the receiver. The leader or the follower. Yet Centering Space has gently reminded me that we are often all of these things at different moments, sometimes even in the same day.

One day I may find wisdom in the words of someone else. Another day I may find myself sharing an experience that helps another person along their path. There is a beautiful humility in both receiving and sharing, and I have learned that neither is more important than the other.

What I appreciate most about Centering Space is not any single program, event, or gathering. It is the spirit that connects them all. Whether people come for meditation, conversation, learning, prayer, reflection, community, or simply a quiet place to breathe, they are welcomed exactly where they are.

In a world that often feels loud, rushed, and divided, that welcome matters.
