invites us to look at how we got here in order to help
us imagine a different and more positive relationship
to the natural world.

Modern capitalism, as it emerged, has drawn heavily
upon the Christian belief in human exceptionalism
and dominion over the planet. Today these ideas still
undergird our largely secular society.

Joe Konen will lead us in reflection upon what is and
what still could be.
