Our House
Located in the heart of Lakewood, just steps from the shores of Lake Erie, Centering Space offers a peaceful retreat from the busyness of everyday life. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, the setting provides a welcoming backdrop for reflection, prayer, and spiritual renewal. The beauty of the lake, the serenity of the grounds, and the spirit of community create an inviting sanctuary where visitors can pause, reconnect with themselves, and experience God’s presence in daily life.
Our Rooms
Centering Space has four simple rooms designed to nurture rest and reflection. Each room provides the essentials — comfortable bedding, a writing desk, and space to settle in — while maintaining a spirit of simplicity that supports prayer and renewal. Windows invite natural light and views of the surrounding grounds, creating a peaceful atmosphere free from distraction. Bathrooms are well cared for and provide all that is needed to ensure comfort, privacy, and tranquility throughout your stay.

The Garden
The garden at Centering Space provides a peaceful sanctuary for reflection and prayer, filled with flowers, trees, and places to rest. It invites guests to enjoy nature, pause in silence, and connect with their spirituality. The space embodies Centering Space’s mission of welcoming all who seek calm and renewal, allowing visitors to find peace whether walking its paths or resting quietly.

Our Programs
Reflective Prayer Circle
Our weekly reflective prayer is at the heart of our ministry. Participants are welcome to join a circle of quiet reflection and sharing. Weekly prayer is also offered on Zoom.
The experience fosters a stillness, periods of silence, and spiritual connection.
Retreats
Centering Space provides a peaceful, home-like environment where retreatants experience quiet reflection and spiritual renewal. With comfortable gathering spaces, serene bedrooms, and the calming presence of Lake Erie nearby, guests are invited to slow down, rest, and reconnect with God in a supportive atmosphere.
I love that Centering Space offers the same prayer both online and in person and on two different days. I don’t know of any place that puts so much effort and thought into accommodating so many people.
