Bible Study of Sunday Scriptures

Scriptures from the Christian Bible were first oral remembrances later written down in an ancient language then translated into other languages. From one translation to another it was easy to make occasional slips. Those  passages that have been carefully chosen for us to reflect on each Sunday have a variety of messages that the preacher is challenged to choose from.

Join us to explore the July Sunday Scriptures  ahead of time to bring a more informed understanding of the homily or sermon. Using the common lectionary, Dennis will look with us   at each of the readings through the lenses of history, culture and language.
