DESCRIPTION:Based on Whole Brain Living  by Jill Bolte Taylor PhD\n \nFacilitated by Mike Reiling  M.Ed. and Carol Williams M.A.\nWhole Brain Living by Jill Bolte Taylor explores left brain-right brain functioning as it relates to spiritual experience.  Taylor\, a neuroscientist studying brain anatomy\, had a stroke in the late 90s that paralyzed the left side of her brain\, leaving the right side of her brain functioning. Her experience in the right side of the brain as she slowly brought the left brain back\, gave her powerful and deep insight into the right brain in spiritual experience. As a result of her studies\, we can all learn to be in our right brain more and enrich our spirituality.\nIn this workshop\, through short presentations\, journaling\, and conversations we will study brain functioning and how we can enter more spiritual states of mind.\nThe program will also  include short breaks involving bodily moments through chair yoga\,\nTai Chi\, and breathing practices. DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by Mike Reiling on Zoom \nThis program will immerse people reflectively into their own evolutionary experience of life\nand their involvement in the Divine Milieu and the on-going Christogenesis of life.\n  \n \n  \nIn his book\, The Divine Milieu\, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin SJ lays out the spiritual journey according to an evolutionary and Cosmic Christ perspective. He describes our journey as making active choices and dealing with the effects of our choices. Teilhard also promotes the need to be both fully attached and detached to our work and relationships. In this program\, we will enter Teilhard’s depiction of the spiritual journey to enrich and direct our own. Each session will include short presentations\, directed journaling work and conversations.\nSession 1 Living in the Divine Milieu \nSession 2: Our Lives as Evolving \nSession 3: Activities of Growth and Diminishment \nSession 4: Passivities of Growth and Diminishment \nSession 5: Divinizing Our Activities \nSession 6: Divinizing our Passivities \n$8 / session\nMike Reiling is a retired high school theology teacher who regularly does journaling programs for personal and spiritual growth. Basing himself in the evolutionary Christian thought of Teilhard de Chardin SJ\, Mike also brings in contemporary spirituality from an evolutionary perspective. This class combines both Chardin’s thought and journaling practice.
