Navigating the Challenges of Dementia

Facilitated by Margie Orth and Lauri Scharf

This program is designed to engage family caregivers who have loved ones with a Dementia or Alzheimer’s  diagnosis. Margie and Lisa will present information they have gleaned from their life work related to developing positive communication techniques, sharing ideas for healthy activities and pointing out available resources for the future.
Participants will be invited to share their own experiences and learnings.

Margie Orth has always been looking for ways to take care of people and pay her blessings forward. Now as General Manager of Home Instead she is living her mission of service to others.
Lauri Scharf is a Master Trainer/Lead Care Consultant at Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. She holds an LSW license, certificate in Training and Development and Masters in Non-profit Management.
