Sister Carol Kandiko, CSA
Co-anchor

Carol Kandiko has been a Sister of Charity of St. Augustine (CSA) for 60 years and is one of the founders of Centering Space. She served on Core Circle since its inception in 2003, leads retreat and prayer experiences, and offers daily vigil hospitality. In 2016, she took on the role of Co-director, managing the day-to-day activities at the facility. Previously, Carol served in parish ministry and taught high school. She earned her Master’s Degree in Spirituality from Aquinas Institute of Theology.

Betsy Nero
co-anchor

Betsy Nero has been active at Centering Space since 2012 and in 2017 was named Co-director. She has more than 30 years of experience in both ministry and education. Her credentials include Master of Arts degrees in Counseling and Human Services and in Ministry, and a Shalem Institute in Contemplative Prayer and Retreat Leadership certificate. Her greatest passion is to lead others to a place of silence, reflection and stillness with God.

Sue Krizman
Social Media and Database Coordinator

Sue Krizman has joined Centering Space to provide social media and marketing support. She has more than 25 years working in the advertising field, as well as an adjunct professor of Graphic Design at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Sue earned her BFA from Wittenberg University in Illustration and Design with an emphasis in Marketing. She is thrilled to be here and contribute her talents to share the Centering Space mission of spiritual discernment, personal peace, and reflection within an open, inclusive environment.
