Praying with Beads
March 9, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Facilitator will be Kay Perrier
Beads can help focus you and give you a path to follow during your prayer. They provide structure and comfort and can be a tool for contemplative prayer.
Prayer beads are used by many religious people including Buddhists, Muslims, Christians.
This morning of prayer and creating will provide you the opportunity to make your own set of prayer beads along with time for quiet reflection and personal prayer.
“My fascination with glass, and beads and especially prayer beads began when I was around seven years old. My best friend, Carol Ann, had made her first communion. She had a beautiful rosary in a small plastic box, a frilly white dress and a white veil. I loved my protestant church and my Sunday School teacher but I sure did wish I could have one of those rosaries.
I’m looking forward to a time of fellowship, sharing and time spent creating special prayer bead chaplets. I’m honored to be invited to Centering Space to share my love of beads. And, the joy of creating with a loving and supportive group in a beautiful and peaceful spot fills my heart. Thank you, Kay”
