Brother, Sister, and Holy Ghost: A Conversation on Disability
September 29 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
This is the rescheduled program from August!
Facilitated by Ben Bagocius
On Zoom
Growing up with siblings with disabilities or challenging behaviors can open difficult yet honest questions of love and despair. Drawing from Elina Hirvonen’s When I Forgot and Gina Berriault’s The Lights of Earth, we will read a little, write a little, and share out whatever you feel called to in this conversation about brothers, sisters, and human lights of earth. There is no pre-reading required, since this session is about letting Hirvonen’s and Berriault’s excerpts about siblings, despair, and love spur our imaginations and our writing.
The session is writing intensive, so please come with a pen and paper and be open to
the adventure of following Ben’s creative juices!
