Eldering and the Caravan of Time
April 17, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Facilitated by Jim Kulma, M.Div.
The presentation will discuss key elements of elderhood in our culture and society. While we have more elders and olders now than ever before (10,000 persons retire each day), the function of eldering and wisdom-keeping has gone dormant in many ways.
By considering eldering in our time, we can come to a new awareness of those who have gone before us and their impact on our lives today. We also hope to raise our awareness of those who will come four or five generations in the future.
The term “Caravan of Time” will suggest a new way to look at the metaphor of time and our journey with “those who have gone before and those who will come after.”
Our time will include a “heart meditation” and time for Q & A.
