~ Terri Duclos
Come join us in Circle where together we will create Sacred Space and celebrate the turning of the Wheel of the Year to the season of Lughnasadh (pronounced Loo-nahs-ah). This celebration occurs in the cross-quarter threshold between the Summer Solstice and the Autumnal Equinox, and is an ancient Celtic Fire Festival; the first of three harvest festivals in the Wheel of the Year. This festival is also known as Lammas, meaning “loaf mass”, when the first loaves of the season were blessed during mass. In our Sacred Space we will share rituals, symbols, stories, guided imagery meditations, simple crafts, music, drumming, food and drink as we celebrate what we are harvesting in our lives. Weather permitting, we will gather outdoors with a fire, so bring chairs, drums and musical instruments as we together share in the warmth of a summer night. You are invited to wear your “faerie finery” to add to our celebration (think Medieval or Renaissance festivals).
