Reflections on Advent: Matthew’s Joseph and Luke’s Mary

December 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Facilitated by George Matejka

“Advent” has six distinct meanings. We’ll begin by exploring how each fits into God’s plan of salvation and then focus on the Gospel stories that lead us to the birth of Jesus.

Matthew’s Joseph and Luke’s Mary are wonderful models from whom we can learn lessons of spiritual enrichment as we prepare once again to welcome Christ into our lives in today’s world.

$20

George Matejka has recently retired from his position as Chair of the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department at Ursuline College. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Ursuline as well as serving on the Ethics Committees at Jennings Home for Older Adults.
