Revolution of the Heart: The Dorothy Day Story
May 17, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Discussion will be facilitated by Betsy Nero
The documentary filmmaker, Martin Doblmeier writes,
“I think Dorothy Day presents a direct path that we all can take.
She believed if you see someone in need, you fix it yourself.
You don’t wait for the government or a social service agency to intervene”
Dorothy along with Peter Maurin began the Catholic Worker Movement with the distribution of the first Catholic Worker
newspaper on May 1, 1933. Their vision and desire to live the Gospel message holds true today for the Catholic Worker and the Houses of Hospitality. The need to serve the marginalized and be the voice for the voiceless is still very much the driving force for the Catholic Worker Movement.
Join us for a vital discussion of how Dorothy’s life challenges us today.
