Writing for Your Life: Starting a Journaling Practice

October 10, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Facilitated by Mike Reiling on Zoom

Writing for Your Life is an introduction to journal writing for personal growth. The act of writing focuses the mind and heart, and thus keeping a journal and writing regularly can lead to new insights, personal clarity, creative expressions, and even prayer. In short, journaling can enhance life!

During the sessions, we will first look at the basic guidelines for good journaling. We will work with a variety of writing prompts that can enable you to pay more attention to the flow and meaning of  your life. Writing prompts such as Free Write, Life Questions, Poetry Starters, List-Making , and Letters Not Sent will be explored.

Journal writing enriches spirituality and life through more careful attention to thoughts and feelings.
Journal writing can lead to prayer and an openness to the promptings of the Spirit.

$8 / Session

Mike Reiling is a retired high school theology teacher who regularly does programs on contemporary spirituality.  Mike has been regularly presenting programs on journaling since his retirement in 2014 at River’s Edge and Centering Space.
