Managing Grief and the Holidays

The loss of a loved one is difficult  – especially during the holidays.
This presentation will discuss current research  on grief and review recommendations for celebrating the holidays
while dealing with feelings of sadness and loss.
It will include a discussion of the role of “ritual” in the healing process and recommend some resources for helping us deal with our grief.

Patrick Gibbons has been a Spiritual Care Coordinator for Hospice of the Western Reserve for 14 years.
He has presented workshops on spiritual issues at the end of life on local, regional and national levels.
