Advent Poetry with Kim Langley

Join us for a poetry circle to help our hearts prepare for Advent. 

All new Advent poems will be the springboard for mindful reading and the kind of conversation that refreshes and renews. There will be       periods of quiet time all in the service of becoming more alert to, as   poet Tracy Shaw describes it:

…the inward way, the deepening way,

Where filling is emptying, emptying is filling ~
At one with the mystery, at one.

This is not an academic exercise, but a rich and simple gathering in the spirit of Advent wisdom seeking. Like Mary, we say yes as poems work in us to open us to the birth of the Holy.

Kim has an M.Ed. in Religious Ed. and a B.A. in English lit. Kim is a facilitator of training & retreats for her company, LifeBalance Enterprises, Inc. & a certified pastoral minister. Her avocation is leading conversation circles that introduce seekers of all kinds to a mindfulness process for reflecting on poetry. She is completing a book for anyone dealing with loss to be published Spring 2019. The working title of this labor of love is Send My Roots Rain: A Companion on the Grief Journey.
