Finding Jesus in the Parables of the Lost and Found

March 7 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Facilitated by George Matejka
On Zoom

In his gospel, St. Luke shares with us three parables on the theme of Lost and Found. The first is the parable of the lost sheep; the second is the story of the lost coin; and the third is the parable of the lost son, which we usually refer to as the parable of the Prodigal Son.

Our study will uncover the reasons why Luke chooses to share with his readers the three parables which all basically have the same theme. Our goal will be not so much to find a lost sheep, coin, or son, but rather to seek and find what Jesus reveals to us about God in these gospel stories. What is St. Luke teaching us through these parables about Jesus and his heavenly Father? Remember, “seek, and you will find.” (Luke 11: 9)

$20
